Gobi desert and Orkhon Valley Tour

Departure from Europe to Ulaanbaatar/Chinggis Khan

Morning arrival at Chinggis Khan Airport in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to the hotel, after breakfast short break, city tour: Gandan Monastery and the National Museum. After lunch in the city visiting the Choijin Lama Temple Museum, dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Drive to “Tsagaan Suvraga”, where the forces of nature created special eroded lump of rocks. They are called “white and red stupas” due to their color and shape. Overnight at ger camp.

Continuation of our journey to Gobi Desert, we will visit the impressive vulture canyon “Yoliin Am” in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, where we are going to walk along the spectacular lump of rocks.

Today we arrive at Khongoryn Els. You could take the possibility to ride a camel and gain experiences about the workaday life of camel breeding families, overnoight at ger camp.

Today we drive to Bayanzag, where the first fossils of dinosaurs were discovered. In the afternoon, we plan a walking tour to the “Flaming cliffs”. Dinner and overnight at the ger camp.

Drive to Ongiin Gol in direction to central Mongolia, in the late afternoon, old temple ruins would be visited here. Overnight at the ger camp.

Tour to Kharkhorin, the historical capital city of Mongolia, visiting to the monastery Erdene Zuu (World Heritage Site) and archaeological excavation. Overnight at the ger camp.

Continue our tour for reaching world famous Nature Park Khustain Nuruu, well known through the project of reintroduction of Przewalski horses, one of ancient wild horses named by Mongolians as Takhi, visiting water place of Takhis and tombs of Turkish empire of 7th century, night in ger camp Extra Ger managed by local nomads.

Mornings to Ulaanbaatar, in the afternoon we would have time for shopping and sightseeing in the city, in the evening farewell dinner with folklore, overnight in hotel.

In the early morning transfer to airport and departure.
