Horse riding through the beautiful mountain landscape to the lakes Naiman Nuur.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Day 1: Departure
Flight from Europe to Ulaanbaatar/Chinggis Khan Airport.
Day 2 :
Day 2: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, City Tour
In the morning, arrival at Chinggis Khan Airport in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to the hotel, after breakfast short break, city tour including Gandan Monastery and the National Museum of Mongolia. After lunch we will visit the Choijin Lama Temple Museum in the city, dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 :
Day 3: Khustai Nuruu National Park
Today we will drive to Khustai Nuruu National Park, there is a project for reintroducing the “Przewalski Wild Horse” (by Mongolians called “Takhi“) back to their native land. Horse riding in park (approx. 20 km) and stay overnight in extra ger, built by nomads.
Day 4 :
Day 4: Riding Day in National Park
We ride to the human shaped stones of the Turkish State (6th to 8th century), visiting nomadic family (approx. 20 km), Mongolian traditional dinner will be prepared by open fire. Stay overnight we will stay in extra ger.
Day 5 :
Day 5: Riding Day
We continue our horse trek to the graves of Bronze Age and in the park (approx. 15 km), stay overnight we will stay in extra ger.
Day 6 :
Day 6: Waterfall Ulaanzutgalan
In the morning we drive to largest waterfall Ulaanzutgalan in the Khangai Mountain Range. On the way we stop by the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, visit to the Temple Shankh, one of the ancient monasteries of Mongolia, short rest in the village Bat-Ulzii. Stay overnight stay in extra ger managed by local nomads.
Day 7 :
Day 7: Lakes of Naiman Nuur
Today we start our horse riding tour to the lakes of Naiman Nuur at the altitude of 2200m above sea level. Horse riding through the amazing landscapes with local horseman accompanies. In the afternoon we will pay a visit to a yak breeding family with dinner and stay overnight in tent.
Day 8 :
Day 8: Lake Khuis Nuur
In the morning we ride to the eastern lake Khuis Nuur, on the way pass Bodonchiin (2100m), stay overnight in tent.
Day 9 :
Day 9: Lake Shireet Nuur
Today we will ride to the largest lake Shireet Nuur and visit the other lakes. Late in the afternoon we return to our base camp (approx. 25 km).
Day 10 :
Day 10: Lake Tsagaan Azraga
In the morning we start our return trip and ride to the small lake Tsagaan Azraga (approx. 20 km), stay overnight in tent.
Day 11 :
Day 11: River Uliastain Gol
Next ride to the river Uliastain Gol, on the way small lake Shavartai (approx. 25 km), Mongolian traditional dishes by open fire and stay overnight in the tent at the river.
Day 12 :
Day 12: Extra Gers by Waterfall
In the afternoon we will reach extra gers of nomads (approx. 30 km), farewell dinner with horseman.
Day 13 :
Day 13: Kharkhorin
Drive to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of Mongolia, visit to the Erdene Zuu Monastery (World Heritage Site), magnificent monastery built on ruins of capital of Chinggis Khan. In the evening folklore, overnight stay at the camp on the shores of Orkhon River.
Day 14 :
Day 14: Ulaanbaatar
We drive back to Ulaanbaatar. In the evening farewell dinner with folklore. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 :
Day 15: Departure
Early morning transfer to the airport and departure.
